Based on the last week’s nomination period, these are the parents/guardians who have been nominated to serve on the 2023-24 Bigelow School Council:

Bigelow Staff “Winter Warm-Up” – Items Needed Tues Dec 19th

Let’s warm the hearts of our amazing Bigelow staff with our second annual Winter Warm-up on Tuesday, December 19th!  The warm-up is a staff favorite!  

This year we are in need of donations of salad and soup. We are also in need of crockpots to borrow to keep the soup warm.

Please sign-up to help via this link by Sunday December 17th, and drop your item(s) at the school on the morning of Tuesday December 19th.

Nominations Needed for Bigelow School Council

It is time to nominate parents/guardians to serve on the Bigelow School Council for the 2023-24 school year.

The School Council, which was established as part of the 1993 Education Reform Bill, is a group of teachers and parents who meet monthly to advise the principal on issues related to the identification of students’ needs, the budget, and the development of a School Improvement Plan. Parent/Guardian members are to be selected by the parents of students attending the school, in elections held by the local recognized parent-teacher organization.

Please use this form to nominate possible representatives by Tuesday December 12th. Voting will take place from December 14th to December 19th via a google form distributed in the PTO newsletter on Thursday December 14th.

Parent/Guardian members of the School Council will be announced via the PTO newsletter on Thursday December 21st.

The Annual Fund is ongoing. A gift of any size will help the Bigelow PTO to support many programs and services that benefit our students.

Warrior Ice Rink Rock N’ Skate: Friday 12/1, 9 pm

Be sure to join us this Friday for our first Skate Night fundrasier of the year! Rock N’ Skate Night at Warrior Ice Arena is always a fun event and a great fundraiser for Bigelow.

Bigelow Rock N’ Skate Night

When: Friday, December 1st, 8:30-10 pm (Skating is between 9-9:50 pm)
Where: Warrior Ice Arena – 90 Guest Street, Brighton MA 02135
Admission: $15 – Includes Ice Skate Rental (part is donated to the PTO)

  • Tickets are sold at the event
  • Chaperones are required for all guests under 18
  • For parking recommendations visit warrioricearena.com/parking
  • Concessions/Vending Machines will be open

Please note: This event is open to the general public. Bigelow parents always join. Caregivers are responsible for their child’s admission and transport. Families are welcome to come join the fun. There is a gallery area for parents to gather and watch if they do not want to skate.
