Out-of-Assigned District Statement
for School Publications

The Newton Public Schools considers applications for students to transfer to schools outside of their home district. It is the goal of the school system to grant to the degree possible requests for out-of-assigned district placements. Impact on enrollment, staffing and space availability now and in the future are key considerations. Out-of-assigned district placements for students who wish to attend a school in Newton other than his/her district school are limited. Such placements will be made on a space available basis only. In addition to Newton residents, members of NTA Units A, B, C, D, E, NESA, or the Custodial union may also apply for placement of their children in a Newton Public School. Continue reading →

The deadline has been extended for forms to be returned to the school nurse until Monday, October 24th.

The PTO is busy planning the Soup Stroll for Saturday, October 15th.  We need a host house where all of the attendees can gather to begin the evening.  No cooking required!  If interested, please contact Becky Manley at bigelowbulldog@gmail.com.  Thanks!

ALL NEW BIGELOWPTO.ORG

We are very excited to announce that the Bigelow PTO has a new website (bigelowpto.org) where we post Announcements (from the Principal and the PTO) as well as Community Notes (public events, sports information, etc.).  We will email to everyone each Sunday morning all new Announcements that are posted on the website throughout the week.  We will email Community Notes each Sunday evening.  You can always go directly to the website to see current and old posts.  There are links at the bottom of every email where you can either unsubscribe from all PTO emails or update your profile to still receive Announcements but not receive Community Notes (or to change your email address).  These PTO emails and website will be our primary means of communication going forward, so please let us know (at bigelowbulldog@gmail.com) if you have any problems or questions.  We hope you enjoy our new endeavor.
