The Bigelow Musical BAND GEEKS is this week

BandGeeksTicket sales for the musical “Band Geeks” will be held in the cafeteria starting on Monday, May 7th!  There are four performances this year!  Tickets are $8 for students and $10 for adults and are available for the following dates and times:

Thursday, 3/10 at 7 p.m.

Friday, 3/11 at 7 p.m.

Saturday, 3/12 at noon

Saturday, 3/12 at 7 p.m.

The musical usually sells out, so be sure to get your tickets before the night/day of the performance.

Informational Meeting for Spring Play Monday March 7th

Informational Meeting for the Spring Play, She Kills Monsters, is tomorrow Monday, March 7th 2:45 – 3:15 in the Bigelow Auditorium.  Come and learn how to audition for the show and the Massachusetts Middle School Drama Festival.  Even if you can not make the whole meeting, come and get the paperwork and information.

It is NEVER too Late to Love Your Bigelow Library

thThere is still time to LOVE THE LIBRARY and honor a teacher, staff member or student at the same time.  A nameplate honoring the student/teacher, and recognizing the donor, will be placed inside a new book.  HELP us reach our goal of $500 in donations to support the library.  To date we have raised over $350 for new books!!  Thank you to all the have donated!!

1-2 people STILL NEEDED to run the Mar 1st Bake Sale

Unknown1-2 people still needed to run the Primary Election Day Bake Sale on Mar 1. We will be forced to cancel the bake sale if we do not have any volunteers to run this event.

There should be a large turn out for the election so is a great opportunity to raise $$ for Bigelow.  We have everything set up  and ready to go.  Tasks include organizing the bake sale, overseeing the volunteers and setting up.  We do all the advertising for you.  Please contact us at bigelowbulldog@gmail.com if you are interested.

Mark your calendars now for THE BIGELOW SPEAKEASY:  Saturday, May 14th at the Commander’s Mansion in Watertown.  

A fun night with great food, a silent auction, music, lots of Bigelow parents and faculty and much more!! Last year’s event was a great success and this year’s promises to be even more fun.  We hope you will be able to join us.

Looking for a homestay family for this summer

We are a family of 4 living in Newton and we have good friends from Barcelona who are looking for a homestay family for their 16 years old son in the Boston area for this summer. Ideally with a son of a similar age, looking for the educational and fun experience of having a foreigner living in their home. Teacher Appreciation Lunch – TOMORROW

thSign up to help with our annual teacher appreciation luncheon taking place this Wednesday, February 3rd.

We are looking for parents to provide a luncheon item, dessert, drinks, paper goods or flowers. We are also in need of volunteers to help us set up and clean up. Set up is at 10:30am and clean up is at 12:15pm.

To donate or volunteer please sign up Here.

  • All items may be dropped off the morning of the luncheon in the teacher’s lunchroom or put in the refridgerator there. Please drop off all items no later than 10:30am.
  • Items can also be dropped off at Stacy’s home at 15 Park Ave. until 10pm the evening of Feb 2.
  • It is most helpful if items are brought in a recyclable container. Please send in your favorite lunch food!
  • Salads, sandwiches, entrees; whatever you think our wonderful teachers and staff will enjoy.
