Bigelow Ski Club

Ski and Snowboard Club Update
There are still about 15 slots open for the first ski and snowboard trip of the year to Mt. Wachusetts on Wednesday, January 18. The deadline to register for that trip has been extended to Wednesday, January 11. If interested, please fill out the attached form and drop it off along with a check for the proper amount with PE teacher Mary Fitzgerald. First come, first served!
If you are already registered, please make sure you have also signed up through FamilyID. (See attached letter for the link to Family ID.) If your child does not have a current ImPact Test on file, they must see Mrs. Fitzgerald to schedule one before the trip. This is a baseline cognitive test done for all students involved in afterschool activities that involve physical activity and can be used to help with diagnosis when a concussion is suspected. This test is valid for two years, so students who are in 8th grade who took the test in 6th grade may need an updated test.
The second trip of the year, originally scheduled for Wednesday, February 15th is being moved to Friday, February 17th. Please let me know if your child can no longer attend that trip. Many openings are still available. The final trip of the year is scheduled for Friday, March 3.  All trips return to Bigelow between 9:30-9:45pm.
Any further questions please contact Mrs. Fitzgerald at: mary_fitzgerald@newton.k12.ma.us
