City of Newton Camp and Summer Program Fair

City of Newton Camp and Summer Program Fair is being held Sunday, January 29th from 12:00 – 3:00 at Newton North High School in the cafeteria.  See what programs are being offered by the City of Newton this summer.  Drop in anytime between 12:00 – 3:00 to talk with representatives from Newton Parks, Recreation & Culture, Newton Public Schools including Newton Community Education and Newton’s S.P.A.C.E. Camp, Heath and Human Services, and Historic Newton to learn about summer camps, summer programs, and summer resources that are offered for kids, teens and families this summer.  Information on scholarships, summer jobs, and mental health resources will also be available.

New England Camp Fair

Our 5th annual free camp fair is this Saturday, November 5th from 11am-2pm, and I was hoping you could share this with your school communities. 

In addition to meeting 25+ camps in person, attendees can enter our raffle for over $7,500 in camp gift certificates from camps like HipStitch, Summer @ BB&N, Empow, Camp Cody, and more! Every attendee gets three free raffle tickets!

The Camp Fair is in the Underwood School gym (101 Vernon Street, Newton, MA 02458) from 11am-2pm and there will be free coffee and donuts.

Registration Available Now – Tim Mayotte Tennis Newton – Newton Parks, Recreation & Culture

Former world top ten player and Massachusetts native, Tim Mayotte, is overseeing Newton’s city-wide tennis-in-the-parks programs.

Registration is open for summer camp, after-school and weekend junior tennis programs. Beginners to advanced players – red, orange, green and yellow ball classes.

Inclusive Summer Day Camp – Music That Matters – Registration Open

Plugged In’s Music That Matters Summer Day Camp.  Music That Matters includes band class, songwriting, recording a song, music video, workshops, offsite events, and performance opportunities. Each session ends with a benefit concert that raises money for a charitable organization chosen by the students themselves. Students are grouped in bands by age, skill level and musical interest.

Ages: 11-18
Hours: 9:00-3:00 (extended day available)
Session 1:  July 11-22
Session 2: July 25 – August 5

Plugged In is a unique, inclusive nonprofit youth rock band program in Needham where young musicians of all levels and needs are welcome. More information and online registration can be found at www.pluggedinband.org.
