Fall Host Families Needed!

Newton Public Schools is looking for host families for three high-school aged Chinese exchange students and two adult Chinese exchange teachers from the Jingshan School this fall. Families interested in hosting teachers do not need to have children in the home; families interested in hosting students can have children of any age. Please encourage all of your friends and neighbors to sign up!

The dates of hosting will be September 2nd to January 13th. Prior host families have truly enjoyed the experience, and every year there are families who volunteer to host again! This is an amazing opportunity for a family to learn about Chinese culture while sharing their own family’s culture and traditions. Please note that federal law prohibits offering financial compensation to host families, but the experience of hosting a foreign visitor in your home is quite rewarding in and of itself.

Any interested parties can contact Global Programs Manager Samantha Mandel at samantha_mandel@newton.k12.ma.us or 857-636-0921.
