Greening Our Community: “For Cod & Country” (2/27)

The 2012 Greening Our Community Series presents “For Cod and Country” with Barton Seaver, chef, author, and National Geographic Fellow, who will speak about his mission to restore our relationships with the ocean, the land, and each other — through dinner. He believes that food is a crucial way for us to connect with the ecosystems, people and cultures of our world. Seaver will explore these themes through the healthful, planet-friendly recipes from his book, For Cod and Country, as well as his role as host of both the National Geographic web series “Cook-Wise” and the three-part Ovation TV series “In Search of Food.”

Monday, Feb. 27, at 7:00pm at the Druker Auditorium in the Newton Free Library. More details on the library’s website.

BIG NIGHT OUT – Don’t miss it!

WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT BIG NIGHT OUT?

It’s an evening of live entertainment, great food and amazing auction and raffle prizes.

Bigelow parents value a great education and appreciate the hard work of our teachers.  We realize that school system can’t provide all the resources  needed to run a great school. That’s why we support Big Night Out.

Big Night Out is the largest PTO fundraiser of the year. Proceeds will go toward the purchase of a much needed sound system for the auditorium and additional laptops for the school.

We need to raise $15,000 from the auction and raffle.  Help us meet our goal.
