Tickets are on sale for Bigelow Drama’s fall play, Just Great: A retelling of some book by F. Scott Fitzgerald. This modern adaptation sets Jay(son) and Daisy at a private prep school, having met at summer camp and fallen in love. Jason’s sister Nic(ole) has reservations about her brother’s drastic changes to fit in with the popular influencers Daisy and Tom, and the pull of social media’s green light.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Need discounted tickets? Use code ‘bulldog’ for $1 tickets. Tickets will be available at the door.

Thank you to all of the contributors to the 8th Grade Committee’s Election Day Bake Sale! Whether you volunteered for shifts, donated items for sale or stopped by while voting, the day brought much needed funds for our 8th grade end of year activities.
We are collecting gift cards to help provide for Bigelow families in need. If you are able to help, please purchase gift cards for local grocery stores such as Wegmans, Star Market, Target, etc. Please put them in an envelope labeled “Supermarket Gift Card” and drop off or send it in to our main office.
If your family is in need of assistance, please email your student’s school counselor. They will keep requests confidential and coordinate with you to provide support.

We had a beautiful day for the FORJ fall family fest at Franklin park in Dorchester this past weekend! People enjoyed a candy hunt, lawn games and learned about upcoming FORJ events.
Some highlights:
– Community service project addressing food insecurity
– Boston Bowl event
– Upstander training
-African American Heritage Trail tour
-Film screening and discussion

Students in Bigelow Drama have been hard at work preparing for their Fall Play, with shows Thursday, Nov 13, Friday Nov 14, and Saturday Nov 15.
Ms. Moriarty and Ms. Alberts encourage students to lead in every aspect of production: from set design, acting, lighting and sound, to costumes, hair, programs and merch. Stay tuned for the link to purchase tickets coming soon!


The 8th grade parent committee is starting to plan for the 8th grade end of year festivities, and one of the biggest tasks is FUNDRAISING.
Our first fundraiser of the year is the 8th Grade Bake Sale on election day, Tuesday, Nov. 4th.
