Drawing Class

Drawing Class for those starting out and those who want to expand their skills: Visual artist with 20 years teaching experience, Joan Mullen is offering two spring classes in her home studio in Newton Corner. Under her guidance in the Introduction to Drawing class, you will develop your drawing skills, your powers of observation and your ability to communicate visually, through sequential guided instruction. The Three-Dimensional Design/Introduction to Sculpture class will explore concepts and elements of 3-D design, developing technical skills while using a variety of materials. Joan Mullen has taught at the DeCordova Museum School, The Boston Museum of Fine Arts School, The Fuller Craft Museum and the Danforth Museum School. She is an Adjunct Professor at Bridgewater State College, where she has taught all levels of drawing and three dimensional design. Class size will be limited and is open to adults and mature teens. Intro to Drawing classes: Sundays 2:30-5:00pm 4/15-6/10 (no class 4/22); cost for 8 classes is $250 which includes studio fee, art supplies and portfolio. 3-D classes: Fridays 9am-11:30am, 4/13-6/11, cost for 8 classes is $260 which includes studio fee and sculpture supplies. April Break Rock Performance Camp

April Break Rock Performance Camp (4/16-4/20) still has room for 4 guitarists, 3 bass players, 1 keyboardist, 7 singers, and 2 drummers! Ages 7-17 accepted. Thundercat Sports Clinic for Ages 7 – 12, Feb 21 – 24

BC Women’s Soccer Clinic over April Vacation

The Boston College Women’s Soccer program will be hosting its annual April Vacation Clinic from April 17 – April 20. A Step Ahead Basketball (ASA Hoops): Tryouts & Vacation Clinic

February Vacation Program at Rhythmic Dreams

Rhythmic Dreams, a quality afterschool rhythmic gymnastics program for girls hosted in the West Newton Armory for the past 10 years and located on Washington Street in West Newton, is offering three days of fun, challenge and learning for girls ages 5 to 12 during February vacation.  The daily 9am-1pm schedule will include ballet, dance, flexibility and strength instruction, and lots of fun with ribbons, hoops, balls and ropes!  You can choose one, two or three days.  The cost is $40 per day or $100 for all three days.  For more information or to register, please call 617-233-4493 or email info@rhythmicdreams.com. Don’t wait, space is limited!

Renaissance Camp will explore this historical period via music with additional enrichment classes in dance, calligraphy, and costumes as we create a real live “tableau” of the Renaissance.
