Newton North High’s principal, Jennifer Price, has been nominated as one of Yahoo’s “Women Who Shine.” If she wins, the $10,000 prize money will be donated to the Global Education Leadership Fund Scholarship Fund and will enable 16 low-income Newton students to study abroad.

The Sunday School for Jewish Studies is accepting registrations for grades K-7 for the 2012-13 school year. Children, ages 3-5, will learn the basic elements of jazz dance and hip hop set to today’s popular music in this fun, lively class. Along with dance technique instruction, they will be given the opportunity to creatively express themselves through open ended movement. Class includes stretching exercises, progressions across the floor and sequences of age appropriate choreography that will build week to week.

All That Jazz Dance Studio, proud winner two years in a row of the Newton Tab Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Dance Studio in Newton and Regional Gold for Newton, Needham and Wellesley, is still accepting registration for the 2012-2013 school year.
