Newton Community Farm

The winter education program at Newton Community Farm is now open for registration. There is a range of programs for adults, children and families covering gardening topics, cooking and even candle making. For more information and to register please visit the website at www.newtoncommunityfarm.org/education.

Music Lessons

Support Newton robotics

The LigerBots, Newton’s award-winning, competitive, high school FIRST® robotics team, will be having a fundraiser during the entire month of January at Whole Foods on Walnut Street at Four Corners. Team members will be present during after-school hours to talk about the team. The goal is to raise $1000 during the month of January. Your donation will help the team buy parts to build its 2015 robot and will help defray the high costs of entering and traveling to competitions. Please support the LigerBots by purchasing a donation coupon at the register to help them reach their goal for this fundraiser.

The Travel Basketball Programs will be starting this month. Stop by the Boys & Girls Club and show your support! Newton teams will be playing other Boys & Girls Clubs from all over Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Community Open Gyms
Did you know that thanks to a grant from The Newton Partnership and funding from the Carol M. White Physical Education Program the Club’s gym is open to the general public twice per week? Anyone ages 6 to 18 is welcome to join in and make use of the Club’s gym equipment. Come on down for flexible, supervised, organized activity.

Free Tennis Clinics
Starting February 24th, the John M. Barry Boys & Girls Club will be teaming up with Lapides Tennis Academy to offer Members an opportunity to learn how to play Tennis! The first 25 members to enroll will work with coach Lapides and his team during a 5 week program that meets every Tuesday, from 3:00-4:30 pm. Free Basketball Clinics: 3 Dates Set!!!
