Bigelow is recruiting a parent/guardian volunteer to serve as a Volleyball Coach this Spring.

At Newton Cultural Development, we believe we have talented shining stars among our youth in Newton and have created this project to give them an opportunity to SHINE.

All Newton students in grades 6-12 are invited to apply to participate in SHINE, a temporary art installation that will last from May through October 2023. It will consist of six 4’x8’ horizontal murals painted onto plywood and grouped in small clusters in a few parks and playgrounds throughout the city.

Proposals and accompanying materials should be submitted by 5:00 PM on March 28, 2023. Artists who are selected will receive a stipend of $250 per mural, which will cover the cost of supplies and an artist honorarium.
