6th Grade Parent Potluck – Please RSVP

Ellen Waldorf has graciously opened her home to host the potluck dinner on Friday, September 30th at 7 PM. This is a fun, relaxed, adults only, BYOB potluck event and a great way to meet other 6th grade parents! We will post/send a reminder with parking details/instructions next week.

Follow this link to RSVP, to forward the invitation to other 6th grade parents who may not be on the mailing list, and to specify what you plan to bring to the potluck (if possible).

Please bring your own beverage(s) and if your child’s last name begins with:

  • A – E    Please bring a dessert
  • F – L     Please bring a main dish
  • M – R   Please bring a side dish or salad
  • S – Z    Please bring an appetizer

6th Grade Parent Potluck – Host Family Needed!

The potluck has been tentatively scheduled for Friday, September 30th! Please consider opening your home to host fellow 6th grade parents for a relaxed, adults only party. The event is a potluck, so you will not be expected to cook and serve food. The PTO will handle all communications, RSVP, coordination of potluck.

The Bigelow Picnic!

The weather might get a little damp, but that won’t dampen the Bigelow spirit – we will be having fun, rain or shine!

When: Wednesday, September 14th from 5:30 to 7 PM

Where: Burr Park (cafeteria and/or gym in case of rain)

Food: Chik Chak food truck and Zack’s Ice Cream truck

We will have outdoor play equipment as well as board and card games (in case of rain) and a great time will be had by all.

The Bigelow Picnic At Burr Park This Wednesday

Grab some blankets, your favorite frisbee and ball, and join the fun at Burr Park on Wednesday, September 14th starting at 5:30 PM. There will be old friends to see, new friends to make  and summer stories to swap! And you don’t need to worry about packing a picnic basket – we will have ice cream and food trucks available (food for purchase).

Happy Kids, Delicious Treats, Clean Cars – Volunteers Needed!

The 8th Grade Car Wash and Bake Sale is planned for Friday, September 23rd, to raise funds for 8th grade activities.

Parents/guardians of 8th graders: Please consider volunteering either on the day of the car wash or by sending in baked goods to be sold at the bake sale. Follow this link to sign up.

All Bigelow community members: Please bring your cars and your sweet teeth and encourage your friends and neighbors to stop by to get their cars cleaned and drive away with delicious baked goods!

 

Bigelow Cross Country

The Cross Country Sign Up Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 7 after school in the Bigelow Library. Cross Country is a sport open to all students and it is the only sport that sixth graders are allowed to join at the middle school level. No experience is required and there are no cuts. All students are eligible to participate, but must attend the meeting in order to receive important information for joining. For more information, please check the Bigelow Cross Country Website.
