A small and engaged group attended this week’s PTO Community Meeting, the second of 4 meetings this year. We welcomed our new PTO Board Treasurer Amy Davis and thanked PTO Board Vice President Rachanee Nelson for filling that role during our search.

Dr. Green and parents who had attended last week’s Newsies performances gave huge kudos to the cast, crew and production team. All agreed it was a spectacular show! Dr. Green also provided a brief overview about the district’s math curriculum planning in relation to recent and upcoming meetings.

The PTO Board reviewed the budget with great appreciation for funds raised so far in the Annual Appeal, reaching about 85% of the goal to date. And we looked ahead to upcoming events, detailed in the weekly PTO newsletter.

We heard updates from the 8 th grade Celebration Planning Committee and opportunities for parents/guardians to join the PTO Board or Committee roles this year and next. Parent Alexander Lee brought updates from Green School Connections and mentioned plans for Earth Month in April. And we heard a few updates from this week’s School Committee budget meeting.
