Budding actors and actresses in Newton can still join the cast of “Annie”. The popular resident youth theatre program, Newton Youth Players, has a few openings for the summer production of “Annie”. Directed by Melissa Bernstein, the morning theatre program gives children an opportunity to be part of a summer stock experience. Young actors entering grades 2 through 6 spend their mornings with professionals who specialize in drama, music, scenery design and choreography.
