Yearbook Club

The Yearbook Club will start next week.

WHEN: Wednesdays (3-4/4:30, Jan. – April)
WHERE: Back Computer Lab
WHY: It’s your yearbook; you should have a say in what it looks like!

Yearbook club is open to 6th, 7th & 8th graders – no experience necessary! We are looking for hardworking students interested in photography and/or design to help create this year’s yearbook. Questions? See Ms. Rice in room 210

Just Think: Teens Making Smart Choices Expo

Teens and adults are invited to the Just Think: Teens Making Smart Choices expo for participative, informative exhibits; live music; free refreshments; and fun.

Meet 30 community exhibitors who help teens navigate life’s pressures in order to stay safe and healthy. Get information about everything from e-cigarettes and personal safety to healthy eating and body confidence to stress reduction and mental health support.

Thursday, January 18, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m.

  • Discover community resources promoting positive decision making for teen
  • Enjoy refreshments and student performances as you browse the exhibits
  • The first 50 teens who bring a parent will receive a treat bag
  • Drawing grand prize:Bose SoundLink
  • “American Ninja Warrior” live demo!

New England Camp Fair – Save the Date

Save the date for the second annual New England Camp Fair sponsored by the Underwood PTO.

When: February 11th, 11:30 am – 2:30 pm (snow date March 4th)
Where: Bigelow Middle School gymnasium

The camp fair is free and open to ALL local families, and it will bring together over 30 camps serving kids ages 5-14. Visit www.newenglandcampfair.org for a complete list of camps attending.

This expo coincides with Junior Night; parents/guardians of juniors are asked to come early to explore the expo. Walnut and Lowell Street lots and Hull Street will be available for parking. Please observe neighborhood signs and restrictions.

Ski and Snowboard Club – Space STILL available for this Wednesday’s Trip!

There are still a number of spots available for the ski and snowboard trip to Mt. Wachusett this Wednesday, 1/10. The snow is excellent and it’s supposed to be a toasty 30 degrees! All details can be found on Ms. Fitzgerald’s website. Please let her know as soon as possible if you plan to sign up!
To all club members, please be aware that if we do not reach capacity for our trips we will have to assess a small surcharge to all club members this winter in order to cover our bus and chaperone expenses.
