Youth & Government Info Session

The West Suburban YMCA invites parents and students to an information session on the 2017-2018 Massachusetts Youth & Government Program.

Youth & Government is a nationally organized YMCA program providing high school age teens the opportunity to participate in a model government. Participants, known as delegates, will work in their branch of interest (judicial, legislative, lobbyist branch, and press corps) to produce a piece of work in the form of a bill, legal brief, or news article. Pre-Legislative meetings held in October, November, January, and February will provide education and training for the delegates as they prepare for the three-day Annual Conference held at the Massachusetts State House in March. To learn more or to enroll in the information session, contact the Y’s Youth & Teen Director, Jeremy Smith at jeremys@wsymca.org.
