Ski and Snowboard Registration for Newton Parks and Recreation

Learn to ski or snowboard with Newton Parks and Recreation with lessons at Nashoba Valley Ski Area. Transportation from Newton is provided from the Albemarle Field House. This 6 week program runs on Tuesdays for grades 3 – 5 and Fridays for grades 5 – 10 starting January 2nd.

Explore outstanding options for summer fun at Maine Arts Camp. As we head into the holiday season, it’s time to start thinking about next summer! Located on the beautiful campus of Colby College, Maine Arts Camp is a small overnight camp community that offers inventive 9 to 16-year-olds all the fun of a traditional summer experience combined with exceptional opportunities to pursue their passion across multiple arts disciplines.

Maine Arts campers choose individualized schedules from a wide range covering visual arts, theater, music, dance, culinary arts, robotics, film-making, photography, and individual sports, such as kayaking, hiking, and tennis, With a 3:1 camper to staff ratio, MAC’s team of highly qualified professional educators can give each child the personal attention they need to grow and thrive as an artist and as an individual.

Veterans Day Basketball Clinic

ASA Hoops is hosting a Veterans Day Clinic for boys & girls, ages 7-14. These clinics emphasize a healthy balance of fun, skill development and competitive play.

Multi-Sports, Basketball & Futsal Evening Clinics for Kids

Come play sports inside at the Williams Gym when the weather gets cold outside. Run by Be Ahead of the Game, these evening clinics are designed to be skill-building with loads of FUN!

Open to all Kindergarten – 7th grade students, Williams alumni, friends and neighbors! So grab a friend or sibling and join the fun!

Session 1 starts the week of November 13th. Sign up by grade level, times vary between 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Don’t miss out, spots are filling up fast!

Youth Fitness Program

As children start to play sports at increasingly competitive levels, the game changes and becomes more physical. Flight Performance & Fitness has put together a program specially designed for youths ages 10 and up. With proper strength training and conditioning, kids learn how to move properly and safely, which in turn helps reduce the risk that comes from overuse injuries.  Every session is open to all kids age 10 and over.

Girls Basketball registration is now open

Registration for the NGBA 2017-2018 season is now open. Please register here: NGBA.

NGBA is a recreational league for Newton girls with fun for beginners and experienced players alike! Games are played on Saturdays for all grades, starting December 1st and continuing into mid-March.

Grades 3-8 practices for 1-hour on one evening during the week (Mon-Thurs). There are no weekday practices for Grade 2. The Grade 2 program is focused on a fun, learning environment.

12th annual Bill’s 5K registration is open

Please join the 12th annual Bill’s 5K. This fun, family event benefits the Travis Roy Foundation. TRF provides equipment to people with spinal cord injuries to support their independence.

The 5K is on October 30th, 9:00 am at Mason Rice Elementary School following the Free spooky sprint for little kids at 8:30 am.

4th annual Newton Turkey Trot’s registration is open

Registration for the 4th annual Newton Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 18th is open!

Soccer/yoga program for girls

Soccer on the Mat ™, the innovative soccer/yoga program for girls ages 10 to 14 and created by Alison Foley, Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Boston College, is now registering for their late fall session at Artemis Yoga in Watertown.
