First Annual BBQ, Badges, and Ball

On Sunday September 18th,  Mayor Setti Warren and Newton Police Chief David
MacDonald will be hosting “Mayor Warren and Chief MacDonald’s First Annual BBQ, Badges, and Ball”. Newton is building on a commitment to and tradition of community policing by strengthening the community’s connection with the police officers who work hard to keep our neighborhoods safe.

They are hoping that all representatives of our Newton community attend, including: youth and students, families, and seniors from all villages and backgrounds. It will be a great opportunity for the City to continue to build strong community connections and a solid civic infrastructure.

The event will take place at Newton Centre Playground and will include 3-on-3 basketball games for youth ages 14 and up to play with our own Newton police.

Newton Tennis, led by long time tennis pro Mike Lewitt, (certified by both the United States Professional Tennis Association and the United States Professional Tennis Registry) will be in attendance and coordinating some fun, drop-in tennis games and contests. You do not have to have any previous experience to join in! Please use the link below to sign up to participate!

There will also be food, music, and additional games for all ages. All are encouraged to join. For additional information, please call 617-796-1436.
