Newton Family & Friends Ski Trip

Randy Friedman, father of two boys in the Newton schools and Director of Ski & Travel,  recently started Seven Travel LLC for the purpose of creating community by planning and participating in family ski trips.

Children’s book author signing

Miss Ghantous, one of the music teacher at Countryside and Memorial Spaulding, has self published her first children’s book Merlantis under the artist name Music Mermaid. Meet Music Mermaid, creator of the new book “Merlantis”, a modern version of Hans Christian Anderson’s classic tale “The Little Mermaid,” at her book signing.

Music Mermaid will be reading her book, singing her songs and signing books. Dress up like a Prince or Princess, Merfolk, one of your favorite sea creatures, or just come as you are! All welcome!

Rockin’ Kids’ Halloween Party!

The Newton Mothers’ Forum is pleased to invite you to a Rockin’ Kids’ Halloween Party! Featuring The Stacey Peasley Band, plus kids crafts, professional face painting and balloon animals – this party is sure to delight even the most discerning ghosts and goblins. Kid-friendly snacks and coffee for the grown ups.
For kids 7 and under (costumes optional) and their parents or caregivers. FREE for NMF members and $20.00 per family (cash only) for non-members. All proceeds will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Newton.

What’s Happening at the Y

Kids’ Night Out – October 6th
Drop off your kids for a fun Friday night with qualified staff members. Y staffers will order pizza for dinner and keep the children entertained with games, swimming, movies and sports. $25.00 per child for members and $30.00 for non-members. A 20% discount is offered per child for those with two or more children. Go out for the night and take advantage of this low-cost alternative to hiring a babysitter. Everyone wins!

Pumpkin Patch with a Purpose!
