Common App essay coaching

Recently graduated from Harvard College, Isabel Alexander is available to coach high school seniors in writing their Common App essays this fall. She loves stories — not just those in books, but those we keep inside us; ones that inform the way we make connections and experience the world.

Putting these stories on paper, though, can be daunting — especially when you have to fit your life story into 650 words that aren’t too simple, too pretentious, or (worse yet) cliché.  To boot, the Common App essay seems to beg for a single life narrative.  What if you don’t have one?

Whether you have a solid draft of your college essay or no clue where to begin, she’ll help you brainstorm ways to tell your personal story — the unconventional way.

Credentials include:

  • Highest score (5) on AP English Language and Composition test
  • Perfect score (800) on SAT Writing section

For more about Isabel, visit https://www.isabelalexander.org or email mailto:isabelalexander@college.harvard.edu
