Chinese School classes

Established in 1978, Newton Cantonese School (NCS) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that provides young children of diverse backgrounds with an affordable education from Pre-K to 8th grade of the Chinese Cantonese language and culture through a variety of dedicated programs.

Why attend?
• NCS provides an affordable education of the Chinese culture and language to enable students to strengthen their understanding of the cultural environment.
• NCS is the only school in the area that offers the Cantonese language program.
• The school offers cultural enrichment activities for students in Grade 1 and older; and story time and Chinese songs/sing-alongs for Pre-K and K students.

Flute Ensemble forming in Newton

Parents and teachers, do you play flute? Have you played flute in the past?

An adult flute ensemble is forming in Newton. Great music in all styles
for multi flutes and flute choir. Director Na’ama Lion has over 20 years
teaching experience, including directing flute choirs.

A minimum of 3 people is required to start the group. Time and frequency of rehearsals will be determined by members of the group. Email Na’ama Lion with questions and/or interest.

Flute Lessons

Na’ama Lion, on faculty at the Longy School of Music and with over 20 years of
teaching experience, is accepting new students to her studio.

All levels, including beginners, are welcome. Introductory lesson is free. Na’ama is also an Oak Hill and NSHS parent.

Pumpkin Patch at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport!
