Makers’ Corner Clubs for Middle School

Announcing new fall clubs at the Makers’ Corner! The Makers’ Corner after school program serves students in grades 6-8, and is located in the Underwood School. To register for all clubs, visit www.underwoodafterschool.org.

3-D Printing Introduction and Designing for Real Life – open to 6th-8th grade
Designed for newcomers to the world of 3-D printing, this club will introduce students to 3-D modeling and the 3-D printer using Tinkercad, and use these tools to solve real-life design problems.

October 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th, November 6th,  2:00 – 4:15 pm


Stop-Motion Animation – open to 6th-8th grade
In this club, students will plan out a short film, using either found or handmade characters and scenery, and produce the movie from start to finish, ending with a shareable video to show friends and family.

October 11th, 18th, 25th, November 1st, 8th, 2:45 – 4:15 pm


Woodworking Club – open to 6th-8th grade
In this workshop, make your very own wooden objects, ranging from utensils (spoons, spatulas, spreaders and chopsticks) to coasters and other wares.
