Roman Totenberg Memorial Concert

Dedicated to the Memory of Ronald Knudsen, Music Director and Conductor of the New Philharmonia Orchestra

  • Professor Markus Placci – violin
  • Esther Ning – piano
  • and the winners of the Roman Totenberg Young Strings Competition – Austin & Kaley Kwuon, Hana Delegorete and Tristan Flores.

With music by Brahms, Sarasate, Saint-Saens, Wieniawsky, Martinu and Franck and a reception catered by Whole Foods Market. The Roman Totenberg Memorial Concert is a program of the Festival of the Arts – a month long, citywide celebration and showcase of Newton’s talented citizens and organizations. Proceeds from the Festival will help support Newton’s four food pantries, nonprofit arts and cultural organizations as well as cultivating Newton’s young artists.
